The Selections album is comprised of the top songs from the previous two Katy Creek Band recordings, "Autumn's On Its Way," and "Wild Rose." Upon its release to the Western Music DJ's, Selections hit the Top Ten Most Played and remained in the Top Twenty for 18 months, "previously unheard of," according to Marvin O'Dell, President of the Western Music Association. Wild Rose was nominated for Album of the Year by the WMA and The AWA (Academy of Western Artists), and the cut, "Where The Wind Blows and Different Song," was nominated as song of the year by both entities as well.
